1. Our Commitment

Levittown Fire Company No. 2 is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities.

We are continually working to improve the usability and accessibility of our online information, forms, applications, records-request resources, and community services.

2. Accessibility Goal

Our goal is to design, maintain, and improve this website in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, where reasonably possible.

WCAG provides guidance for making digital content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people using a wide range of devices and assistive technologies.

This goal does not mean that every page, document, or third-party service currently satisfies every WCAG success criterion. We will continue to identify barriers and make reasonable improvements as the website evolves.

3. Accessibility Features

The website includes or is being maintained to include:

  • Semantic headings, lists, forms, navigation regions, and page landmarks;
  • A “Skip to Main Content” link for keyboard users;
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation, menus, dialogs, buttons, and form controls;
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators;
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images;
  • Labels, instructions, and validation messages for online forms;
  • Responsive layouts that support browser zoom, larger text, and different screen sizes;
  • Color and contrast choices intended to support readability;
  • Reduced-motion support for visitors who enable that preference on their device;
  • Descriptive page titles, headings, and link text; and
  • Accessible versions of downloadable documents whenever reasonably possible.

4. Ongoing Testing and Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We may review the website using a combination of:

  • Manual keyboard testing;
  • Browser, device, zoom, and responsive-layout testing;
  • Automated accessibility-checking tools;
  • Screen-reader review when appropriate; and
  • Review of new pages, forms, documents, and features before or after publication.

Automated tools can identify many technical issues, but they cannot confirm that every experience is accessible. We therefore consider both automated findings and manual use.

5. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content or functionality may not yet be fully accessible. Possible limitations include:

  • Older PDF files or documents provided by outside organizations;
  • Third-party payment, mapping, social-media, video, form, or document-delivery services;
  • Historical photographs or archival material with limited descriptive information;
  • Documents received from governmental agencies, emergency-service partners, vendors, or members of the public; and
  • New or recently updated content that is still being reviewed or remediated.

When we identify an accessibility barrier, we will make reasonable efforts to correct it or provide the information or service through an alternative method.

6. Third-Party Content

Some pages may link to or use services operated by third parties. We do not control the accessibility of external websites, payment processors, mapping services, social-media platforms, video providers, or other third-party tools.

If a third-party feature creates an accessibility problem, contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to help you obtain the information or complete the applicable process through another method.

7. Requesting Assistance or an Alternative Format

If you cannot access information, complete a form, download a document, or use a feature of this website, please contact us.

Depending on the request and the information involved, we may be able to assist through:

  • An accessible electronic document;
  • Plain-text content;
  • Telephone assistance;
  • Printed material;
  • Email or another electronic format; or
  • Assistance completing an online process.

8. Report an Accessibility Problem

When reporting an accessibility issue, please provide as much of the following information as possible:

  • The webpage address or page name;
  • A description of the problem;
  • The browser and device you were using;
