Happy Halloween from everyone at Levittown Fire Company No. 2!
As families head out for trick-or-treating and neighbors welcome visitors to their doors, we hope the evening is filled with fun, laughter, and plenty of treats. A few simple precautions can help everyone enjoy the celebration safely.
- Choose costumes and decorations made from flame-resistant materials.
- Use battery-powered candles in pumpkins and displays instead of open flames.
- Add reflective tape or lights to costumes and treat bags so drivers can see pedestrians.
- Keep masks, wigs, and costume pieces from blocking vision or creating a trip hazard.
- Walk on sidewalks, cross at intersections, and keep children with a responsible adult.
- Keep exits, porches, and walkways clear of decorations and electrical cords.
Drivers should slow down and stay especially alert in residential areas, where excited children may enter the street unexpectedly. Before the evening begins, take a moment to review our Halloween fire safety guidance with your household.
Our volunteers are proud to serve this community. Have a safe and happy Halloween!
